Glossary
Operator & jurisdiction: BASIS is operated by BASIS DIGITAL INFRASTRUCTURE LTD, a Seychelles-incorporated entity (LEI: 254900IX2F2KCWNSSS64).
Currency convention: Dashboard values may be displayed in USDT as an internal accounting and reference unit for USD-equivalent valuation. USDT is not a depositable or withdrawable asset on BASIS. Deposits and withdrawals are supported in native assets only: BTC, ETH, SOL, and PAXG.
This glossary defines key terms as used in BASIS documentation.
A
Atomic execution Coordinated execution of both legs of a strategy with minimal time exposure. This may refer to literal atomicity on-chain or operational atomicity across trading venues.
APR / APY Annualized performance metrics. APR is simple annualized return. APY assumes compounding.
B
Base58 Labs Research Partner responsible for market microstructure research, execution modeling, structural alpha design, and risk frameworks used by BASIS.
BASIS (platform) Execution and staking platform that applies Base58 Labs research to user-facing products and infrastructure.
BIVB (BASIS Iso-Value Bridge) Mechanism that converts native assets to staking tokens at a 1:1 same-token quantity ratio. Examples: BTC ↔ stBTC, ETH ↔ stETH, SOL ↔ stSOL, PAXG ↔ stPAXG. BASIS does not support cross-token swaps.
BOVE (BASIS Omni-Vector Engine) Strategy coordination layer that orchestrates the platform’s strategy matrix and capital routing logic.
BQAE (BASIS Quantum Arbitrage Engine) Execution engine designed to capture cross-venue inefficiencies through deterministic routing and execution precision.
BSCB (Sentinel Circuit Breaker) Protective control system that can halt execution activity and initiate unwind procedures when predefined risk conditions are detected.
BHLE (BASIS Hyper-Latency Engine) Proprietary routing and execution infrastructure designed for sub-50μs latency and 100K+ OPS throughput under constrained state-machine risk controls.
Booster Optional fixed lock-up multiplier applied to staking rewards for a defined term. Available configurations are 14D (+10%), 30D (+20%), 90D (+50%), and 180D (+100%, 2×).
C
Claimable amount Amount automatically credited to the Staking Wallet as stToken when an unstake is completed. There is no separate manual claim step for standard staking rewards.
Collateral yield optimization Use of a collateral asset such as PAXG in conservative yield structures designed to improve capital efficiency under strict risk controls.
Contribution-aligned referral network BASIS referral structure that distributes rewards based on measured contribution and activity alignment.
D
Dashboard Primary user interface organized into the following sections: Stake, Assets, Referral, Support, and Account.
DB Sync Dashboard indicator confirming that on-chain records and the platform database are synchronized. If a warning state appears, users should wait until sync is restored before making staking or withdrawal decisions.
DMM (Defensive Maintenance Mode) Protective pause state used for controlled unwinding, root-cause review, and safe resumption of execution.
Deposit address For BTC, a unique BASIS-assigned address generated per account for direct native BTC deposits. No Web3 wallet connection is required for BTC deposits.
DRR (Daily Reward Rate) Estimated daily yield rate on deployed capital, expressed as a percentage. Displayed on asset cards in the dashboard. DRR reflects recent strategy performance and is not guaranteed.
DEX / CEX Decentralized exchange / centralized exchange.
Deterministic execution Execution design based on predefined routing logic, mathematical constraints, and state-machine controls to reduce variance in order handling.
F
Fees BASIS fee schedule:
Deposit: 0%
Withdrawal: 0.05%
Swap: 0.01%
Fixed pool Staking pool with a predefined lock-up period. Unstaking is available only after the lock-up period ends. Early exit is not supported.
Funding Wallet Wallet view used for native asset balances and native asset transfers. Deposits and withdrawals occur through the Funding Wallet. Supported native assets are BTC, ETH, SOL, and PAXG.
Funding rate Periodic payment mechanism in perpetual futures markets intended to anchor perpetual contract prices to spot prices.
L
Liquidity fragmentation Operational policy of distributing capital across multiple venues to reduce single-venue dependency and improve resilience.
Lock-up period Fixed duration during which staked assets remain committed in a booster or fixed pool configuration.
M
Market neutral Strategy design intended to minimize directional market exposure. Market neutral does not mean risk-free.
Minimum BTC deposit
Smallest supported BTC deposit amount: 0.0001 BTC.
P
PAXG Pax Gold token supported on BASIS as an active asset. PAXG can be deposited through a connected Web3 wallet and swapped 1:1 into stPAXG.
R
Real-time accumulation Reward accounting model in which staking rewards accrue continuously and are reflected as same-asset stToken rewards in the Staking Wallet.
S
Same-token swap 1:1 conversion between a supported native asset and its corresponding staking token only:
BTC → stBTC
ETH → stETH
SOL → stSOL
PAXG → stPAXG
Cross-token swaps are not supported.
Slippage Difference between expected price and realized average fill price.
Staking Wallet Wallet view used for holding stTokens, monitoring reward accrual, and managing stake-related balances.
Structural alpha capture Strategy approach focused on capturing persistent market inefficiencies through execution quality, routing, and inventory coordination rather than directional speculation.
stToken Staking token representing an allocated staking balance for a specific asset. Examples: stBTC, stETH, stSOL, stPAXG.
T
Trinity Contribution-based reward system associated with referral and participation activity.
U
Unstake Action that exits a staked position. BASIS processes unstake requests as full-position only. Partial unstaking is not supported, and the unstake amount is automatically set to MAX for the selected position.
USDT (accounting unit) Internal accounting and display unit used for USD-equivalent valuation across the dashboard. USDT cannot be deposited, staked, swapped in, or withdrawn.
W
Weight (Wgt.) Percentage of total deployed capital allocated to a specific asset strategy module. Displayed on dashboard asset cards. Weight is set by the operator based on liquidity conditions, risk controls, and strategy availability.
Withdrawal time Typical processing ranges by asset:
BTC: 30 minutes to 1 hour
ETH / SOL / PAXG: 1 to 6 minutes
Web3 wallet Wallet connection method used for ETH, SOL, and PAXG deposits. Common examples include MetaMask and other supported wallet interfaces.
Operational model summary
BTC deposit: copy your unique BASIS-assigned deposit address
ETH / SOL / PAXG deposit: connect a Web3 wallet
Swaps are same-token only at a 1:1 ratio
Rewards accumulate in real time as the same stToken
Unstake is full-position only
Fixed pools unlock only at the end of the lock-up period
If a term appears ambiguous, BASIS documentation should link to this page and refine definitions over time through the changelog.
